Manager tomorrow: The challenges of diversity

Context & objective

Changes in the research environment reveal a need for skills for collaborative work transferable to different types of careers. At the same time, we are witnessing a socio-cultural diversification of the profiles of researchers, within which the issue of women's careers stands out, because professional equality is an objective of public policies and institutions. However, there are still inequalities linked to the structural organization but also to subtle discriminations, integrated stereotypes, unconscious biases  : knowing these mechanisms and the techniques that allow them to be mastered is an asset for the managers of tomorrow.

This seminar allows you to:

> Benefit from an overview of the different types of management,

> Compare the skills needed for these methods with the transferable skills of doctors, assimilate the discourse to enhance these skills,

> Conduct a rapid analysis of an environment  and  adapt to it: understand in particular the team culture, the corporate culture, the scope of professional equality,

> Know how to identify biases, mental representations and stereotypes and be able to circumvent them

> Identify situations of inequality and discrimination in the workplace, and find out about existing support as well as regulatory and legal frameworks.
